The proponents of this project aimed to create an online presence for GHI Trading, a general hardware store located at Cagayan de Oro, and broaden its consumer base by proposing an e-commerce platform.

A web-based e-commerce platform was implemented by integrating a front-end framework called React JS with a back-end framework like Laravel. A relational database system, in the form of MySQL, was employed in storing the system’s data including user accounts and product inventory. The results from the functionality and usability testing indicated an overall positive acceptance from the three major users of the system: user, admin, and staff. The system highlighted the need for easy-to-access mode of shopping for the customers of GHI Trading.
